Native to the Northern Pacific Ocean—primarily wild-caught in Alaska and British Columbia—Sockeye feed extensively on krill and plankton, which gives their meat its signature deep ruby-red color and high concentration of natural astaxanthin antioxidants.

Sockeye salmon is bold, rich and distintly “salmon-forward” with a mineral finish. It is smaller and thinner. Cooks quickly; best served medium-rare to rare to preserve moisture.
